Project objectives

Place yourself in the position that your partner, son, daughter, parent, brother or sister, receiving news of a family member having sudden or impending sight loss. This could be due to a condition or an accident or through injuries received. In such cases GAT4PRoVIP can help:

• To help you cope when your world seems to be falling apart
• To help you get the advice you need
• To tell you where to go for advice
• To advise you on the next step
• To advise you on fundamental and practical issues
• To help you cope with psychological issues that will inevitably occur.

GAT4PRoVIP will help you to find all the important answers to reduce the impact of being an unexpected carer to a person who has just become blind or visually impaired.

It is important that families and relatives of newly visually impaired persons feel that they are informed, supported and empowered so that the benefits of society are not lost. GAT4PRoVIP can make this a reality for those in need.
